Jamovi update includes Regression, MANOVA, ANOVA

Jamovi regression analyses

Well a fairly significant update has hit Jamovi. If you recall I blogged a brief intro into the program here. There I extolled its virtues and potential. That potential is gradually being realized. SO, go ahead and download and install the latest version and try it out.

Below I ran the regression procedure. The video is clunky to start because my computer is slow, but Loom captured every detail.

Below I have already loaded the data. Notice how once you select the analysis procedure, the right panel immediately begins processing.

Also see how you can drag variables between blocks so you can instantly see changes in R-square and changes to the coefficients. It is fascinating to watch the computations appear and change before your eyes!






Here are some other highlights

Analysis options. You can see several options including diagnostic plots, confidence intervals and standardized estimates....even AIC, BIC and Bayes approaches! Some of these are included as outputs in the screenshot below:

If you notice the highlighted area in blue in the output area above, this is the place where you can actually control "model specific output". If you select the top model, as I have done, you get specific outputs related to model one. The example is below. If you select the other model, model 2, you will get those outputs. And, it updates before your eyes! So cool.

Anyway, just some playing around in Jamovi. I will try ANOVA and MANOVA and repeated measures ANOVA (no RM_MANOVA, i guess) later. They also have added factor analysis options. Waiting for Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Will definitely post about that when it comes along.
