Description
IBM SPSS has become a standard statistics analysis package
across many disciplines due to its relatively easy to use graphical user
interface (GUI). However, many user-friendly and powerful statistics
software packages have emerged over the last decade that are free to
use. Part 1 of this workshop will introduce you to several free to use
software packages that can be used as SPSS alternatives including an
SPSS clone with a very similar GUI. Other modern and dynamic
statistical analysis software packages will also be introduced.
Workshop Activities
This particular workshop is designed for the novice SPSS user with some statistical background such as an introductory undergraduate stats course. However, even those with a great deal of stats training can benefit if you’ve never used a statistical software package.
Activities will include downloading, installing and navigating the following statistics programs:
